Buy Now Pay Later is the new alternative to credit cards we all needed. The service has been making waves for a couple of years, especially down under. With some of the most prominent services hailing from New Zealand (Laybuy) and Australia (ClearPay, QuadPay and Afterpay), BNPL is basically offering shoppers to pay for items in instalments. Extremely popular services like Klarna (Sweden) and Affirm (USA) have been joined by PayPal, who now also offers the option to Buy Now Pay Later.
The current pandemic has ensured that the already well-established trend of online shopping became THE way to buy for everyone from grandparents to teens.
