Indian actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas has been unveiled as the new global ambassador for Bulgari.
Described by the Italian luxury brand as an “unstoppably talented actor, film producer and activist”, the star follows in the footsteps of stars including Julianne Moore, Zendaya, Rachel Weisz and the iconic Elizabeth Taylor to model the Bulgari designs, as well as amplifying the brand’s humanitarian efforts by working on projects that will focus on female empowerment, diversity and inclusion.
For the first project as partners, Chopra Jonas has teamed up with the non-profit Give India to fundraise for healthcare infrastructure, medical equipment and vaccine support in her home country. After raising $1 million in less than two weeks, they have increased the goal to $3 million – Bulgari has announced that it will also be making a donation to the cause.
“I have always admired and been fascinated by Bulgari’s magnificent works of arts, so many of which celebrate some of the most precious resources of my homeland,” Chopra Jonas said in a statement. “From the rare colourful gemstones used in Bulgari’s timeless jewellery creations, to the scented flowers which become the main ingredients of its luxurious fragrances, we connect so organically over our love for India and the beauty it has to offer.”
