To celebrate the recent release of Downton Abbey Series two on DVD, we were invited along to a very special afternoon of tea and millinery at the Grovesnor House Hotel in London.
Award-winning milliner Katherine Elizabeth, who has created pieces for everyone from the House of Dior to hit music group the Noisettes, was on hand to offer her top tips and guide us through creating our very own hat inspired by the television series.
After much experimentation with feathers, netting and vintage buttons (and a fair amount of cake and caffeine) we’d created a fantastic piece of “Mad Hatter couture”.
