Italian sportswear brand Fila is to launch a sustainably produced collection with British menswear designer Oliver Spencer.
Designed using a variety of luxury fabrics, each of which have been ecologically sourced and responsibly made, the apparel line is combines Spencer’s laid-back tailoring with Fila’s classic sports luxe aesthetic, with pieces inspired by inspired by Fila’s rich sportswear heritage and Wes Anderson’s 2001 cult classic, The Royal Tenenbaums.
Classic items from the Fila archive featured in the collection, including the Hayward Jersey Jacket, Benedict Polo, and matching Ari Jersey Shorts, are given a contemporary, modern day twist with Oliver developing a “terry-towel corduroy that is super-soft and rich in colour”.
Notable highlights in the premium range include the ribbed cotton-velour Royal Hoodie, straight-leg fit joggers, a lightweight, water-repellent rain jacket and classic fit tees finished with the appliquéd ‘F-Box’ logo.

Commenting on the new collection, Spencer said a statement: “I am very excited to be working with such an authentic, heritage sportswear brand. Working together to fuse lifestyle and sportswear we have produced an exciting collection that is selling through our long-standing partner – Mr Porter. The collection feels very nostalgic, yet modern while using all of our sustainable credentials.”
The Fila x Oliver Spencer Collection is available for purchase exclusively at Oliver Spencer, Fila and Mr Porter, with 10% of sales to be donated to Mr Porter’s Health in Mind fund – a fundraising and content initiative dedicated to helping men lead happier, healthier and more fulfilling lives.
