Korean girl group aespa have been announced as ambassadors for Givenchy, and will showcase upcoming collections and major lines by the brand’s creative director, Matthew Williams.
Following the launch of their debut single Black Mamba last November, the super talented quartet have enjoyed monumental, record-breaking success, with the singles official music video achieving the highest number of views for a K-Pop group’s debut video, amassing 21.4 million views in just 24 hours.
“When I first saw aespa, I was overwhelmed with the energy each member had.” Williams said of Givenchy’s new global reps in a press statement released via SM Entertainment. “As a group, I felt that the firm personality and style of each member of KARINA, GISELLE, WINTER, and NINGNING naturally connected with Givenchy’s sensitivity. The fashion of aespa means their own colour.”
“We are delighted to be with Matthew, the new creative director at Givenchy.” the group added in return. “We will make our best effort to showcase various sides and activities as we start a new chapter with Givenchy.”
