Bulova is adding to its Archive Series, which reimagines its most nostalgic designs, with a new model of the 1972 Oceanographer.
The original Oceanographer, known as the “Devil Diver” was specifically designed for divers. It featured a rotating bezel with black and red detail. The watch’s nickname was in reference to the “666 feet” printed on the original dial, which was in reference to the depth the watch could withstand under water.
The new timepiece also features the iconic “666 feet” on the dial and features the same iconic orange dial with a black sport rubber strap and a three-piece buckle closure. The watch is powered with a self-winding mechanical movement and a 42-hour power reserve. Other details include a stainless steel screw-back case, a three-hand dial with luminescent markers, and box sapphire crystal with blue anti-reflective coating.
